decisions
lFully distributed algorithm – functionality does not depend on a node or a set of nodes
lModular nature – easily integrated with existing routing algorithms
lDeterministic sleep pattern enables nodes to determine mathematically neighbors’ sleep state
lConfigurable in such a way that introduces no additional traffic to the network
