Ad Hoc Network Energy Management Issues – Energy Conservation Challenges
		l Energy conservation mechanisms should not add significant energy consumption or traffic demands on the network l It should be able to answer the following questions: o When to put the node to sleep without knowledge of traffic patterns? o When to wake the node up? o What is the sleep state of a neighbor? o If the neighbor is asleep when will it wake up? l There should be no major effect on the normal network functionality (e.g. no major traffic loss)
